AMERICAblog: Wash Post/ABC News Poll: Clinton "has lost trust among voters, a majority of whom now view her as dishonest"

  • DCinDC · 1 year ago
Clinton should admitt it, she is finished. She has destroyed her image. It is no wonder McCain is trying his best to get her to become the democratic candidate.

Mark Penn, Howard Woflson, James Carville, Mandy Grunwald, Lannie Davis......

Lay down with dogs and you're going to get up with fleas.

...On the positive side, being exposed as a consistent liar probably gives her all sorts of appeal to the average Republican voter. Go for the cross-over vote, Hillary, since you've managed to alienated all the true Democrats out there.

The Clintons have managed to destroy Bill's legacy and now Hillary's. What were they thinking? Were they so desparate to get back in the WH that they would do and say anything? I believe the answer is yes. Hillary will not go down quietly. She will throw everything she can at Obama. She is out of control but apparently the Dem party heads cannot see this or they are afraid of the Clintons.

    From the op-ed:

She also must argue that because of Obama's lack of legislative accomplishments, he is ill-equipped to achieve what he sets out to do.

That might work if Obama's election reform and loose nukes legislation didn't trump the precious little Clinton did in the Senate, which it does.

Strangely, habitual liars have credibility problems. They're usually the last to understand this.

I don't know a single person who can stand Hillary anymore. People I knew who were for her at first, no longer are. This extends to Bill as well, the loss of respect is pretty huge. And deserved.

It seems Hillary cannot exit with grace and dignity. She might have to be dragged or carried out, kicking and screaming!!

She shows absolutely no regard for party, or even the democratic voters.
Al Gore, in 2000, exited with grace and dignity, because he did not want to put the country through any more stress. I guess we cannot expect any kind of unselfish behavior from a candidate, who has resorted to divisive, and Rovian like tactics, from the moment, she lost the first primary.
Sometimes you watch her latest antics, and wonder if she is sane!
Sure, she will go down even lower in the dishonesty poll. You cannot lie
to the nation so much, get caught, and not pay for it. I hope the Super delegates realize that she is not only damaged goods, but her behavior during this campaign is embarrassing, and adding to her already heavy baggage.

I can never figure out whether Bubba--and now Hillary--really believe they're being honest when they give one of their "shame on you" rants or not.

They're either faking it or they're crazy.

Maybe they think that the propaganda world of the Bush era is somehow the new reality and they're just playing along.

Wow - I agree with Josh Marshall. These people have simply gone over the edge and lost touch with reality. I have to wonder if Schoen is really working for McCain.

And HRC has only herself and her husband to blame, period.
Many people on this blog must appreciate Senator Obama's answer to Will Bunch's question about war crime liability. Morning Blow asked Howard Wolfson about it and if HRC would do the same. Wolfson's answer, "We haven't discussed it."
    Here's what Obama said:

What I would want to do is to have my Justice Department and my Attorney General immediately review the information that's already there and to find out are there inquiries that need to be pursued...one of the things we've got to figure out in our political culture generally is distinguishing betyween really dumb policies and policies that rise to the level of criminal activity...if I found out that there were high officials who knowingly, consciously broke existing laws, engaged in coverups of those crimes with knowledge forefront, then I think a basic principle of our Constitution is nobody above the law.

The Clintons hopefully will go the way of the dinosaurs. I haven't trusted either one of them since the Lewinsky incident when Bill admitted he did it because "he could" and Hillary "stood by her man." What a total crock of shit these two reside in.

Alan Keyes has left the Republican party and is now in the "Constitution Party".
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Pete, the "Constitution Party" is a crypto-fascist "christian" party, has nothing to do with the Constitution at all.

Alan Keyes should fit right in...

olderandwiser.... "thanks" for not noticing the quotes. I know exactly what the so called constitution party is, but thanks for "informing" me.

Someone telling Clinton to go negative? Where the hell has he been? That's why the Democrats don't trust her anymore: she's out to destroy a fellow Democrat and give the election to the Republicans. This guy's head is up his ass, but it's too late now for her to try to be nice.

Hillary and Lieberman should run on a ticket together for the Traitors Party.

"I'm white like you!"-Hillary screaming at the poll print outs
  • Smarmy · 1 year ago
Americans seem to be a little slow on the intake. They're finally seeing this creature as she deserved to be seen YEARS ago. I've neither liked nor trusted Hillary since she was first lady. She has graduated from too snooty to do what other first ladies did to a serial liar. What's to trust? She's too dirty to be a president.

speaking of polls, i heard sean hannity interviewing John Zogby and Scott Rasmussen yesterday, and these 'pollsters' could not have been more blatantly biased...no neutrality, no objectivity whatsoever...they toed the GOPer party line better than hannity himself...what's up with that?
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
so here's a reuters/ZOGBY poll showing that on the economy, more people trust McCain over either dem candidate...who are they polling?!?!

after hearing zogby interviewed by hannity, there's no way his polls are fair.

    ----

    Speaking of which.

Read that Gravel went from the Greens to the Libertarians since he dropped from the primaries.

And to think there were some people on this blog who liked him.

Hate to say "i told you so," but I knew the guy was a steaming crock of shite.

The sniper story will be remembered as one of those moments in the history of presidential campaigns.
