I am so proud that the state of my birth is doing this. I live in Boston, and gay marriage here has been great. I'm straight, and always thought that the whole "gay marriage threatens heterosexual marriage" is a farce. Both my husand and I always shake our heads and wonder what the hell people are talking about when they say that.
On another note -- is anyone paying attention to what is happening in Iowa? The Mississippi is expected to crest on Wednesday potentially forcing more levees and dams to break. Does anyone care?

I got the video working at the link John Aravosis provided, though that web site is confusing, with way too many unclear options. I couldn't begin to tell you how I finally managed to get their live feed to work now! Ha. And yes, dcredhead, I care greatly about the Iowa floods, which are also in Illinois, I am told by friends there. Des Moines was spared the worst because when they had a huge flood there in 1993 they improved a dam that kept a catastrophe from happening there again. But clearly eastern Iowa and other places need similar upgrades. Iowa and Illinois are our breadbasket. We are screwed.

Has anyone noticed the total transformation of Matt Drudge? Has he accepted being gay? Normally he would have up a huge flashing banner right now with some bizarre picture of two men in tutus and pink hair kissing. He is totally silent on this event except for two small links he has had up all day. Anyone who's been following Drudge for years as I have knows this is totally out of character for him. I wonder if his boy toys finally got to his heart.
