Did she really say that Biden has a lot of experience? She can't talk about years in DC as a bad thing - McCain has years in there, too. She can't really sell the 'fresh face' thing because, uh, Obama's been running as an agent of change for more than a year.

Well, I got the letter in the mail I've been waiting for. Never gave a dime to the RNC when McCain asked. This letter was from Palin, asking for money. I wouldn't give any to the "weasel", but I'll send it on her account. McCain just got smart and it must have ruined his day to know that Sarah could outraise him any day of the week. Look for tens of millions of dollars flowing into the repub campaign next week. Will that make her a better debater? I doubt it. Can Biden abide by the "Archie Bunker" comment to "curb yourself, Edith", I doubt it. We shall see.

I think Palin's getting better at this. She used mostly complete coherent sentences this time. Granted, she inadvertently slammed her running mate, but otherwise a step in the right direction. Kind of like making it from home to the locker room. She's suiting up, but somebody will need to give her more directions if she's going to find the field before game time.

McCain has been portraying Obama as inexperienced yet Palin refers to herself as the fresh, new choice for politics...so if O is inexperienced then why is that a negative? Can't he be the fresh new voice for politics? Or is it (to throw out a reference to the Pecci/Glover scene at the SA embassy in Lethal Weapon 2) "because he's bl-bl-bl-black" and she's the new, white face of politics?
And to refer to listening to Biden's speeches since the 2nd grade, that I find hard to believe, didn't she grow up in ID--hardly the center of liberal populsim and Biden was a D-Sen from one of the smallest states-DE; I doubt very much that ID school curriculum taught where DE was on a map, much less covered senatorial politics of its elected reps at the 2nd grade level, esp in the early 70s...
at least the R's are extremely consistent at being hypocritical

Palin's memory befuddles me. How can she remember hearing about Joe Biden's senate speeches from when she was in 2nd grade, but she can't remember a supreme court case outside of Roe v. Wade in the entire history of the supreme court? Weird.

I'm glad Couric is sticking it to this incompetent fool. It's rather strange, though. It's like Couric is standing in a room with a lemon meringue pie, and she tells Palin she is about to toss it in her face, and Palin basically says: "Well, okey dokey, then. Let's have at it! Toss that there pie in my face, and be quick about it!"
