I went to bed last night after listening to Scarborough prattle on about Obama not being able to "close the deal". This morning he is in full concern troll mode over the same issue. "Why can't Obama close the deal?" That man is begging for my high heels in his crotch.

Sara - I always find it so amazing that these shows stacked full of Republican "conservatives" are supposed to be credible in analyzing the Democratic contests.
Hell, Scarborough should be asking why Ron Paul collected nearly 16% of the vote in Pennsylvania, and their presumed candidate McSame only received 72%. Seems to me that McSame hasn't closed the deal too well if 28% of Republicans in a primary AFTER he secured the delegates still refuse to vote for him.

It's pretty funny that Russert has apparently never learned how to say "Rev. Moon," who is a lot more active in Republican campaigns (and in the media) than anyone cares to bring up on those "pundit" shows.
One thing that just annoys me is that, apparently, the American people have no say in what crazy-ass talking heads are hired to propagandize us - after awhile, all of the channels appear to be the same. They often don't seem to possess any more knowledge than any lay person couldn't collect on the internet in an hour - worse, they often make amazing mistakes without batting an eye, and then (like ABC) arrogantly pretend they didn't really do anything - it's all in the audience's imagination.

From the comments at the NY Times on their Article 'The Low Road to Victory'
I think that it is time that the New York Times Editorial Page takes the next step and withdraws it previous endorsement of Mrs. Clinton. Her campaign's poor performance does not give me confidence that she could run the nation, let alone unite it. The Times should be part of the solution and officially shift its support to Mr. Obama.

Hillary is delusional. She is screaming about her huge victory in PA, not mentioning she blew a 20-26 point lead and has bankrupted her campaign in the process. CNN and the rest of the media are trying to keep this alive but we know the truth: her campaign is through. I don't care if she did raise $2.5M after this primary (almost enough to pay Mark Penn and his McCain-lovin' firm) - Obama will raise more, and his campaign will now use everything in its power to finish her off. She has squandered everything on one primary win. She has alienated a huge amount of voters in the Democratic Party. She has won a less than double-digit victory in a state that she should have been able to practically ignore just a few weeks ago. She now needs to win EVERY upcoming primary with at least 68-70% of the delegate count, which can basically be done by machine-gunning every potential Obama voter. The only way Hillary can win the nomination is by stealing and intimidation, which will ruin her - and the Dems' - chances in the GE against McSame. So go ahead, Hillary. Keep living in your little dream world. Get Edwards or whatever other person you can to try to help you out of the hole you have dug. Try denying your Iran remarks and your Iraq War vote and your deep and abiding love of John McCain and your insults to the hard working progressive base and NetRoots of the Democratic Party. I'll just sit here and watch the meltdown. It will be quite fun watching the end of you and your husband's political careers.

Yeah, Grandma - She certainly seems rather cocky for someone who thought she'd have the nomination all sewn-up by Super Tuesday. INDIANAPOLIS -- It looks like rocker John Mellencamp is an equal-opportunity campaigner -- at least when it comes to Democrats.
Mellencamp, who was born and lives in Indiana, is taking the stage to support both Democratic presidential candidates, first at a Barack Obama rally Tuesday night in Evansville and then May 3 with Hillary Rodham Clinton in Indianapolis.
Bob Merlis, Mellencamp's publicist, said the rocker hasn't said who he'll vote for but sees Democrats as the greatest hope for change.

I can watch Russert or Matthews alot easier then listening to Scarborough or Buchanan. The republicans licking their chops at spinning that Hillary is Joan of Arc while Obama is evil is so transparent and annoying. Those two in tandem with their DLC lackey, Ford, is enough to feel like nails on chalkboard when they are on. The press this morning is all smiles and happy spinning the Clinton talk of how great she is and that Obama is so weak. Come on. Penn. is bording on NY with the Clinton machine firmly in place. She still lost the delegate and vote and states completely last night. She has no chance of closing that. Period. But, I do notice how the press is all hyped when Clinton wins by 10 or under like it's a big thing and yet, they don't seem too impressed when Obama keeps beating Clinton by 25, 30 points in most states.

Matthews last night blamed the press for misleading people in thinking that Hillary could win the nomination. I agree that the folks who voted for her yesterday are being used. The nomination hasn't been this close since 1968. If you're too young to remember 1968, go see the movie "The Chicago 10". It wasn't pretty. I will interested in the final count on PA because they aren't exactly a 10 point spread at this point. They have rounded up Clinton's number and rounded down Obama's numbers, strange type of rounding. With the numbers as they stand /Clinton should be rounded to 9 .

I'm flabbergasted at the media repeating the "spent 12 million and couldn't take the state, why couldn't he take the state" spin. Obama cut Clinton's lead by more than half. More importantly, when Clinton loses North Carolina by a (likely) even bigger margin, what's the Clinton spin going to be then? I doubt anybody will note that the Clinton campaign has been going on for weeks and Obama's margin keeps -growing-.
But that's the reality, isn't it? Everywhere Obama campaigns, he gets more support. Clinton just loses or maintains the inheritance with which she began.

And speaking of the media, after having MSNBC on most of yesterday, I am awaiting their announcement of support for same ole Hil any moment. Even Olbermann can not save them now. It is just too much to have Fat Timmie Russert, loud and loutish Chris Matthews, piggy-eyed and just plain stupid Joe Scarborough, prune-faced Pat Buchanan, and cadaverous Andrea Mitchell, all prattling on and on about Hillary this and Hillary that. They have all forfeited any claim to be impartial observers or journalists or reporters and should be required to be captioned as Clinton campaign functionaries. They do NO analysis; they regurgitate only what appear to support their biased ideas. This sort of thing gives added credence to the general idea that corporate America is scared shitless of a candidate they can not control. Hence their rush to support the great whore: she has been bought and paid for for a long time along with her racist and whoremonger husband. Yes, Hil it was NOT a double digit win, it was 8.5%

He's got one very thick skin under that charismatic glow.
I have neighbors. They're "leaning" towards McCain. Yeah, they are. Racists? Well . . . yeah. So here's the slogan I'm about to toss into their Betty Crocker mix:
"More of the same with insane McCain."
Bush+McCain=McBush
McCain is even more dangerous than Bush in my opinion
Good points about Ron Paul. Its rather interesting that the MSM has under reported the PA "surge" for Paul (as well as the votes for Huckleberry).
I spoke to some of my republican neighbors yesterday ( before I voted for BHO) and they said that they expect Paul to go third party this summer.
We'll see.
Excuse me. 45 percent of us voted for BARACK OBAMA! You're the ignorant one.
I remember Chicago in 1968. Not good! Lets hope we don't have a repeat.

But that's the reality, isn't it? Everywhere Obama campaigns, he gets more support. Clinton just loses or maintains the inheritance with which she began.
Now where's my American flag lapel pin....
They want Hillary to win because the voting machines are probably all set and fixed for a McBush/Clinton race. It's not too hard to figure out. No one can stand it already. Barak is getting switboated by the media, just like Kerry did. They already know who is going to win. Clinton and McBush are the same. If Clinton gets in, get ready for war with Iran.
that spin has been coming from limpballs, hannity, et al these last few days...the GOPers are very afraid of Obama...
the real question, is why hasn't the all-powerful Clinton machine dispatched Obama by now?
Yes, Hil it was NOT a double digit win, it was 8.5%
!2 years too late, my dear...
