I am sure the WH will now go after Scotty, and make him wish he had not written this tell all. Whatever his motives are, Scotty has been brave enough to spill everything, while the Bush gang is still in the WH. He could have easily waited a few more months before releasing this book, so that he will be able to avoid the lies and insults that will be hurled at him, from the criminals in the WH.
McCain, will have a hard time, trying to convince the American people that he will not be surrendering, and that he wants this failed war to continue, after McClellen's book is released. This is nothing new to us, we knew we were being taken for a bad ride, the lies, the false intelligence, even the Plame affair, was obvious to us. The question is the republicans who still support the war, and will this book change their minds? Most probably, they will buy the WH story and continue on their merry, dumb, way. It is a shame, and even sad, that people like Scott, and even the press, did not stand up in time, and try to stop the war mongers from unleashing hell in Iraq. Why did it take 2 years for the press to discover the lies, when we knew about it right along?

Biden knows the score:
[Biden] defended Barack Obama against the searing attacks by the Bush administration, John McCain and Joe Lieberman, and said:
“I refuse to sit back like we did in 2000 and 2004. This administration is the worst administration in American foreign policy in modern history — maybe ever. The idea that they are competent to continue to conduct our foreign policy, to make us more secure and make Israel secure, is preposterous. ... Every single thing they’ve touched has been a near-disaster.”
The Associated Press quoted Sen. John McCain claiming in an interview that he would "seize that opportunity to educate Senator [Barack] Obama along the way" if the two were to visit Iraq together, and that McCain also said that Obama "really has no experience or knowledge or judgment about the issue of Iraq." But the AP did not mention a series of claims made by McCain that raised questions about his own "knowledge" and "judgment" about Iraq, including about the safety of Baghdad neighborhoods and that Iran is training Al Qaeda.
McWar wants to educate Obama about Iraq....says he has no judgement.
and where the hell was McWar's judgement ....... supporting Bush's lies about Iraq.

The Democratic Party is struggling to raise money for its convention in Denver on Aug. 25-28, with fund-raising by the host committee falling far short of the party’s goals and lagging behind the Republicans’ efforts for their convention in Minneapolis-St. Paul.
There are many reasons that have been floated for the money woes faced by the Denver committee. It is not uncommon for host committees to lag in fund-raising, only to see large donations arrive in the month before the convention. And some are concerned that the protracted nominating fight between Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York and Senator Barack Obama of Illinois has made fund-raising more difficult.
Busboy, go soak your head. No one believes your reference-lacking rants.

Bush's Culture of Deception
In Iraq, McClellan adds that Bush saw "his opportunity to create a legacy of greatness'' -- something which Bush views as only obtainable by wartime presidents.
The president's real motivation for the war, he says, was to transform the Middle East to ensure an enduring peace in the region. But the White House effort to sell the war as necessary due to the stated threat posed by former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein was necessary because "Bush and his advisers knew that the American people would almost certainly not support a war launched primarily for the ambitions purpose of transforming the Middle East.
So Bush saw Iraq as 'his opportunity to creat a legacy of greatness'??
I hope that man burns in hell.

The most corrupt and criminal regime in US history. Keep saying it, connect McBush to it, don't let it go. Obviously, McBush isn't going to provide any transparency, just like his mentor Bush, when they go into closed sessions to raise money. McBush would run his presidency the exact same way.
I remember a friend who had a teeshirt back in the 70s..."Improve your image--be seen with me" which I doubt McBush would appreciate these days.
Talk about cowardice, appeasement, surrender. McBush has no ideas of his own regardless of the backpedaling he's bound to do. "Maverick" indeed, a fiction of his own PR.

Maureen Dowd, in her column this morning, implies that Michelle Obama is the ethical watchdog for her husband's campaign. It that perfect or what?!? Refreshing to see a political figure this prominent be concerned about getting things right. Like Caesar's wife, the Obama presidency must be beyond reproach. They must get to the point where they are beyond sitting duck status and that ethically their connections are not even questioned anymore. It will take a year or two for us to get used to an administration that is not duplicitous, covert, beholden to secret alliances, as the last two administrations have been. No more Roveian contraptions who think for the president. No more compromised press secretaries who, themselves, are not sure they're telling the truth. McClellan says in his book that the biggest mistake the Bushes made was "a decision to turn away from candor and honesty when these qualities were most needed." It seems that Obama has already made a choice to do the exact opposite, to turn in the direction of openness and the truth. Such a relief. And to have a smart Princeton/Harvard lawyer who's committed to transparency instead of to triangulation. The Hillary/Ferraro viragoes, with their grossly duplicitous versions of feminism, their wrong headed insistence on respect whether their behavior warrants it or not, their addiction to bad and ugly outfits have made their attempts to redefine the roles of women in power and they've failed. Now, we begin to see a real uncompromisable woman show what she can do. Go, Michelle.
RE: Scotty McClellan- why is it these weasels never sya anything AT THE TIME. From the Pentagon on down, everyone wauts until 3 years after quitting to 'spend more time with their family' to suddenly confirm the bloody obvious. But by the time they say anything it's too late. all these people should have their pensions taken away (it's what they were protecting in the first place). Then they might really regret what they let happen.

Saw Rove on tv this morning and his comment on the McClellan book was it appeared to him it was written by a left wing blogger. John have you been moonlighting and not telling us. I have no respect for the Powell's, McClellan, etc. They know the truth and let the white house kill over 4,000 of our men and women and said nothing. Colin Powell is beneath contempt for his role, Rice is the most incompetent, pandering, ass kissing Secretary of State in the history of the U.S. Scotty carried the White House water and had not a shred of embarrassment. Now he makes money after lying for these criminals. There are parallels to the Clintons as well with her over tired, memory flawed statements. We really need to clean house in Washington. Go Obama

Time to be happy, peeps. On this beautiful Wednesday morning oil is dropping like a rock; as is the Euro. Houses are cheap and some backyard inventor has figured out how to run a car on water and gasoline. The wicked witch is dead and both McCain and Obama have proposed stripping the oil companies of any profits. The supremes have said that the US gov't has to abide by the antidiscrimination in employment laws. Women are still allowed to kill their babies and public schools still teach that Bill Clinton was the greatest president ever. Yet, some are still unhappy in paradise.....
