Reading this I was getting somewhat excited, then I got to the part about "Bush will be back in Texas" and remember his dumb ass is going to be living half an hour away...ewwww

Um, I can think of a couple of bigger events. But they both involved funerals. Hint; "When lilacs last in dooryard bloomed," and a little boy waving bye-bye to his Dad. It ain't TMZ, but then, what is?

Oh, and the inaugurations of those later buried in these funerals represented actual change, not hype & BS.

I'm becoming increasingly alarmed at those nominated by Obama who are going to have control of the country's economy and financial future. The haste with which he nominated some of those clowns, along with the haste Congress, Bush and Obama want to keep adding to the deficit is scary. The maws of the banking industry will never be filled enough, and the American public is being screwed once again, perhaps with wonderful rhetoric and all, but the results will be the same.

Tim Geithner, Obama's nominee for Treasury Secy, has been described over and over as a "wunderkind" by financial types, yet he can't manage his own taxes, and further, he was an architect of the AIG bailout and approves of Bernanke's tactics in lowering interest rates for institutional investors to zero and the govt buying out of "toxic assets" whose losses greedy investors should absorb themselves. Madoff is just the tip of a huge tree with many branches, but whose root system is rotten.

Obama should stop all the "bipartisan" bullshit and cozying up to those who really, truly hate him, like the two-faced bastards he dined with last night. Turning the other cheek just gives your detractors another chance to knock your head off.

Obama is just another human--educated, urbane, intellectual--but so are a lot of other people, and none are exempt from making mistakes as we have seen over many years now.

I join you in your concern. Obama is looking like the pretty face on a very ordinary program. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I'd hope for more than cosmetic change.

The president-elect arrived at the Chevy Chase, Md., home of syndicated columnist George Will shortly after 6:30 p.m., according to a press pool report. Greeting him at the residence were other luminaries of the conservative commentariat, including the Weekly Standard's William Kristol, New York Times columnist David Brooks, and Charles Krauthammer of the Washington Post.

I wouldn't have been able to make it through the night without throwing up. I wonder how many times Obama went to the bathroom. I get queasy every time I look at Krauthammer and Limpballs.

There was speculation that Rush would be there too, but I guess he just went to DC to pick up some Oxycontin and a few underage hookers.

The odd-couple gathering led to speculation that Rush Limbaugh, who said that he was in D.C. for a "secret meeting," was also in attendance. "I'm just offering, a personal trip, nobody even has to know about this," the notorious and combative talk show host wrote on his website.

Alas, a source close to the transition confirms, Limbaugh was definitely not in attendance during the dinner affair -- likely disappointing some in the conservative blogosphere, knowing full well the fury that would have caused among progressives.

I have zero confidence that DC can handle this event. The red and orange lines have been backed up several times this week during rush hour. Metro is supposedly going to be running rush hour service most of Inauguration Day. That's a big laugh! If one train goes down with hundreds of thousands of people in the system, you can forget it. And with all of the road closures, it's going to be a total nightmare! I'm not going to brave the throngs, but for those of you who are, get a map and a comfortable pair of shoes and walk. It might be faster and definitely less stressful.

    Selection of Bishop Robinson.
Obama gives queers a puppy too…BITE ME!
Josh DuBois sucking up to Tony Perkins and Lamb of Southern Baptists makes Obama's team equally hateful if not worse than the Reign of Cheney. If Obama wants to appease queers, DUMP DuBois publicly, and retract Tim Kaine as DNC choice. btw Since when does a president PICK who leads the Party?
    SAME you can believe in.
The idiocy that Democrats will except Tim Kaine as head of the DNC without a FIRESTORM is not what we contributed MILLIONS and 2 years of carrying Obama's water.
Attempting to make the DNC the RNC with an anti-gay, anti-CHOICE, anti-Labor, anti-Green Iraq War Hawk Tim Kaine makes no sense, America just said…OH HELL NO, to that.
