Now comes the morning after, pay-up time. Clinton's campaign debt has now soared to nearly $31 million, according to numbers crunched early this morning by The Times' campaign finance guru, Dan Morain.
She added another $9.5 million in unpaid bills to venders this past month alone, pushing her total debt to venders and herself to the new astronomical figure, about a 50% debt increase in one month.
She also delayed payments to consultants. Including the $9.5 million in unpaid bills from April, she owes consultants and other venders $19.5 million.
Joe you need to be as careful as Obama about your statements. He was absolutely correct when he said he was within reach of the nomination. He does not have the 2026 delegates required to secure the nomination. You are as bad as Clinton when you start with mis-statements. It will happen soon enough.

Grandma, it seems Hillary has no qualms spending her supporters money, to run this campaign of no hope. What a waste of time and money. The longer she keeps up this delusional fight, the harder it will be for Democrats to win this November. They have tried moving the goal post for months, and yet, she is not the front runner. Do the Super Delegates think the party owes her this trip fantastic, and that the party has to indulge her whims and fancies? When will someone in the party have the courage to tell her, it is over, and time to move on?

(CNN) — Even in a state Hillary Clinton appears to have won by 35 points, a majority of Kentucky voters say the New York senator attacked Barack Obama unfairly. According to the exit polls, 54 percent of voters said Clinton launched unfair attacks on Obama, though that didn't seem to deter voters there from supporting Clinton — 55 percent of those who said Clinton attacked unfairly still voted for the New York senator. Clinton faced a similar statistic in West Virginia last week. There she won by 41 points, but nearly 60 percent of voters said she made unfair attacks against the Illinois senator.
but as i recall a pretty high number also thought obama was unfair. i guess people just take it for granted that political campaigns are unfair.

According to CNN's tallies, McCain secured only 72% of the Republican primary voters in KY. Why can't he "seal the deal" and unite his Party? Why is he not winning over a large number of blue-collar white conservative voters? Will that be a liability for him in November? How will he bring the Huckabee, Romney, and Paul voters into the fold?

Steve in CNJ, reminds me of the Bush voters. They knew he was inexperienced, could not speak a sentence, attacked McCain unfairly, and was AWOL during the war, and still they voted for him! Not a very bright lot, no?

If HRC has been Commander in Chief of, and presided over, her debt-ridden campaign (31 million in the hole and counting), has she passed the Commander in Chief test? How would she preside over the nation's economy with such reckless and wanton disregard for effective use of money?

$9.5 million of that is owed to unpaid vendors including school districts. I cannot believe that she has portrayed herself, successfully in some states, sad to say, as the champion of working people.

ahhhhh that's kind of a silly litmus test. the nations economy has been reckless for 100 years. fractional reserve banking has been our achilles heel and will probably be our downfall. never the less, its could be true that she just likes to spend like a drunken sailor, and can't balance the check book, all on a ill-conceived campaign.
