McCrazy needs to get plenty of scrutiny, but this won't happen as long as Clinton continues her assault on Obama. Sad this, but it's opened a lot of people's eyes about the ambition and self-serving nature of Clinton.

A new poll I saw this am showed that Obama is leading in NC (my home state) by 55-37%...Clinton is roundly despised in NC, although I understand why most older white women (my age of 67) might vote for her. I was heavily involved in the leftist women's movement back in the day, and I fully understood the racist and classist base of the movement, being a working class woman myself. It's not surprising that these same women are voting for Clinton, as the "mainstream" women's movement (including NOW and the MS magazine readers were only interested in those issues which impacted them, not in race or working class issues. Only the leftist movement addressed those in any depth.

Middle class, college educated women (not all, of course) tended to follow their own self-interests, much as Clinton did. I never saw her name even mentioned or her presence noted in any women's, civil rights or war protests back in the day

I'm sure she was back in her residence, mulling over her class assignments. It would be interesting if some Wellesley alumnus would actually come foreward and tell what she knows about Clinton's "feminism."

Here is the question no one has asked yet. Does the McCain campaign or someone in the GOP supporting the GOP cause pay Kickback money to reporters to get favorable news coverage?

All this talk about the major news reporters' love affair with McCain seems to have the smell of corruption attached to it.

I know women in my mother's generation who want Clinton to win the nomination because they want to see a woman president "in my lifetime." If that's the criterion why would you want a woman who is qualified on the basis of having slept her way to the top? Why would you want a woman who wears ugly pantsuits? I hope that some of the superdelegates start to pull for Obama. That was hinted at yesterday by Chuck Todd.

DC, McCrazy obviously has mainlined the media, but right now, they're concentrated on the "battle" (as they define it) between Clinton and Obama. This is their diversion du jour, so no bright light is shone on McCrazy.

So Hillary of impaired judgment (Iraq), and memory, has decided to continue her toilet sink politics against her fellow Democrat, to win the nomination, which the experts keep saying the math shows it's unlikely, and we know will steal the election, even if it means destroying the party?

I cannot understand why many democrats are okay with this. This is what we detested in Bush and the rethuglicans, and all these years we were mad at them for doing just this. Hillary is destroying Hope, Unity, and the good things that the Democrats have to offer this country, and by voting for this no good woman, we are playing into the hands of the rethuglicans.
Are you guys ready for at least four more years of Bush policies?

Dianne, this type of issue was discussed back in the old women's movement at length. Those I associated with were adamant that any woman who held reactionary views and did not reflect the true status of ALL women didn't warrant a vote from us. Clinton is exactly the type of woman we wouldn't vote for, Democrat or not.

To clarify my point about real feminism and the faux kind, let me make this analogy...how many former "hippies" and people in the old "movement" were there just for the drugs, sex and rock 'n' roll, as one older guy put it to me once? I mean, even a lot of the NeoCons today were former "leftists" who obviously saw their own self-interests running parallel with their hidden reactionary views of the world.

The weekend hippies of yesteryear are today's NeoCons and Yuppies and Limousine Liberals. I've never doubted that. The toruble is that in these post-Reagan years, the Republican conformist model of successful politicans has badly tainted the process in the Democratic Party. If the Democratic Party insists on impoding, I guess we'll just have to learn to endure the unendurable and watch McCain flush the presidency down the drain.

That's why so many former Clinton Admin. people support Obama.

The choice between McCain and Clinton is which type of liar do you want. With McCain you have your standard repug lying pimp who will do anything for attention and lie at any cost. With Clinton you get a more calculating liar and I think more dangerous because her lying is calculation behind the lie. If either of these get in the white house you can be guaranteed we will remain in Iraq. Hillary would get a chance to show commander in chief balls and would stay the course.

The link above is to a video called Hillary--The Movie and while the movie is long and overly biased the trailers and ads are not. This is exactly what the GOP will use against her if she is allowed to steal the Primary from Senator Obama. You will be repulsed by the cast of right wing contributors but the DNC needs to watch this and pay heed. Hillary simply will have her ass kicked by a guy who needs to take a dirt nap.

Why aren't all of the influential/most read blogs on the left using their position to press the media, get face time on TV, urge their readers to contact super delegates and Howard Dean to force Clinton out?! Everything else - the daily incessant whining about how she wants to destroy the party is petty and useless and is becoming unbearably monotonous. I have written letters to the editors of the major papers, posted comments on blogs, and contacted some the Super Delegates in my State (Rendell, Murtha, Schwartz, Sestack) that are pledged to Clinton and asked them to reconsider. What else can one do? If the life of the Democratic Party is truly at stake with Clinton holding the power to destroy it, then you - the blogs - have contributed to its demise and to the current climate of despicable discourse - along with the traditional media (who you feed into with the recent Clinton bashing). It's time to call her on this and demand that she end her campaign. But the blogs need to get out in front of this, not behind it by simply providing a sounding board for Hillary-haters. We can't wait until April 22nd - McCain's free ride will become permanent by then.

What Clinton bashing? Are you talking about the FACTS? The fact that it is proven that she totally just made up a phony story about the Bosnia trip? It is just too obvious to ignore her "dirty politics" campaign. She and her servants are the ones who first send out a charge to Barack, not him to her. All he has done, is to answer her attacks, and then people try to call that negative campaigning!! Where are people's brains?
Last week, all you saw was the preacher every 5 min. day and night, and as to that sermon, what he said was true about America? Don't you realize that preacher was representing the gospel of Jesus in the bible. Yes, delivered his sermon in a radical way, but the gospel tells us not to "kill our enemies" and we as a nation have done that in all our wars. Do you think Jesus or God would be happy with this policy of a so-called christian nation? Of course Jesus or God do not smile on us for the killing of all these people, and yes, God would probably damm America for these killings! Read the gospel, and yes the pastor delivered the sermon with human failings mixed in, and not the tone Jesus himself would have said it, but nevertheless it was the gospel, read the bible, new testament. We are to turn the other cheek, love y our enemies, and do good to them that try to harm you, now can you say this country does this, NO! That is where this sermon was coming from and another good argument for keeping church and state seperate, as Barack knows, he isn't stupid. Running a government on the bible is just about impossible, we all are aware of that, so to be so upset that Barack was in that church is just rediculous! Jesus got mad at the money changers in the temple, if you remember, he did have a temper!
No, Barack has run a clean campaign, only being guilty of trying to explain her attacks against him, but it is she who has attacked like a mad dog, just to get her selfish way. Do you really think she cares about anyone other than her own selfish ambitions? She is making fools out of her followers, and then with this obviously made up lie, wouldn't you remember clearly when you had your child with you in a supposedly dangerous area? There was a military person on the radio today, that said the danger level was about zero, and they would never have let her in a very dangerous zone with Chelsea by her side! She just lied, now can you say she will not be another lying president such as we now have? This lie was a whopper!!!

Barack got BASHED with a video of his Pastor telling the truth about the people this nation has killed, while calling itself Christian!! You bet, God would be mad, that is not what Jesus said to do with your enemies!! That preacher represented the gospel as told by Jesus in the bible. Can you really think that God would be pleased with this nation's killing policies of WAR!! Of course not!! The Pastor did not ASK God to damm America, he said, God would say, God dam America; which God might just do!
