AMERICAblog: What is it with houses and the GOP ticket?

  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
Maybe it's not as bad as it looks. Put lipstick on it.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
    aaahhhh!!!!!! sexist!!!!
  • ggersten · 1 year ago
She's just one of the common people. Who doesn't pad their expense account at work? (ok, not me - that would be stealing) And it's sexist to criticize her for something that...well deserves criticism.
  • HereinDC · 1 year ago
Joe, Your last little paragraph should be the talking point for all Democrats....especially those pundits.
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
    Dear Barack,

Has it dawned on you that Cheney returned from Georgia and has given more press interviews than Sarah Palin? Just wondering if you're interested in winning an election that's coming up in November.

    BB
  • Praxxus · 1 year ago
Wait a minute. What is wrong with these two paragraphs:

Her actions mirrored her promise when she went into office of assuring accountability and transparency in government,” Ms. Comella said.

Ms. Comella declined, however, to release the details of Ms. Palin’s travels as governor and the per diems that she had received.

Palin defense: "She is the bastion of open and transparent government that she promised to be. Now having said that, I can't release more information about this issue."

    WTF!?
  • truebluecoondog · 1 year ago
YES!!! EXACTLY!!! THEY put THEIR feet in their mouths as often, or more often, than dems. SOMEBODY just needs to get out the big spoon and feed it to the voters that are too intellectually lazy to figure it out for themselves.
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Joe with all due respect, I don't care about houses, either McCain or Palin's, it is old news in terms of people caring A better topic would be Palin's grabbing for earmarks while claiming she is against them. I want to see the list of her earmarks, I want to know who was the lobbyist she hired and if he is in anyway connected to this campaign.

I want to see a list of the McCain lobbyists, who are they, who have they represented, and how are they tied to McCain.

Obama has hit back on several occasions, I want to see his comments. Big Splashy headlines declaring his statements.

Rove is running this campaign. I want to know how this fat little pig has ONCE again exerted his evil influences into this campaign.

I mean there are so many other things to write about than "houses".
  • jcgraham77 · 1 year ago
Joe Blow doesn't even know what earmarks are and he is the idiot we are fighting for. He knows what envy is and he doesn't like rich people. The house story is the only ammo we have right now the the sheeple will understand. The earmarks/overspending/undertaxing BS didn't help keep Bush out of office and it isn't going to keep McCain out either. You have to dumb your thinking down to win this election.
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
You are right, DUMB down is the key word. After 8 years of Republican control the American people have lost their interest in truth.
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
The only thing worse than a corrupt politician is one who looks you in the eye and tells you "there is nothing wrong with my corrupt behavior and besides, who's in power here, you or me, yeah that's what i thought so STFU peon."

That is Bushco's forte and McPalin is already carrying on the tradition.
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
McCain and Palin are the "Original Mavericks"?

How did McCain refer to her when she WASN'T bilking Alaska?

COME ON , BARACK! YOU CAN DO THIS!
  • Sage24 · 1 year ago
HERE'S A QUESTION THAT THE OBAMA SPOKESPEOPLE SHOULD ASK:

WASN'T IT "sexism" WHEN SOMEONE ASKED MCCAIN WHAT HE IS GOING TO DO ABOUT THE '"bitch" (hillary), AND HE JUST LAUGHED?

OBAMA WASN'T EVEN REFERRING TO PALIN. DIRTY, ROVIAN POLITICS AT ITS WORST.
  • jcgraham77 · 1 year ago
You can't bring down a Republican by pointing out they are a hypocrite. It just doesn't work...that only works agains Democrats...just look at Larry Craig, etc. What you have to do is present a disconnect between them and the voter--make the voter see that the Republicans have something they want and envy--like money. We all like hating the rich people--this is why we must keep the house story alive. Corruption? B O R I N G ! Millions of dollars worth of houses??? Perfect. When Americans are losing their houses they will turn on anyone with too many. Keep the John McCain house surplus alive and well. Send him housekeys as a protest to his umpteen houeses to help get the medias attention.

Has nobody drawn the parallel between Palin's CHOOSING to live so far from her office and Biden taking the TRAIN to work and back EVERY DAY FOR 26 YEARS???
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
Ignore the fact that McCain is running ads that are insinuating that Barack is a pedophile.

    Barack is.
  • jcgraham77 · 1 year ago
that is something that might take wings if we focus...that beyond namecalling
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
Who paid to fly Levi into Pennsylvania?

Why is it important that he's not being allowed to work and support his child?
  • NanoPlop · 1 year ago
What is up with you people you are STILL talking about Palin!!!!! Start talking about McCain making that crude joke about Chelsea Clinton when she was 18! Talk about the McCain supporter who called Hillary a bitch and McCain laughing about it. Sheesh.
  • devlzadvocate · 1 year ago
agree (regardless of my last post, it was kind of important).
  • jcgraham77 · 1 year ago
Palin is not the issue...neither was Darth Cheney. Focus on McCain!!!!!!!!!!!
  • devlzadvocate · 1 year ago
actually, that's why they keep Palin talking. keeps your eye off McCain.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
    Umm... slightly OT.

where is vikki iseman? if you google her, nothing new since February of 2008.

    we need to find vikki.

I wanna see the connection between Alaskan tax dollars and Missy Moosekill's slut daughter getting porked by Mister Hockey Trash on money and time paid for by state taxes. And Barack would you please get on board here with this shit? You are looking awfully Kerry-esque not saying much and being the gentleman. These people are nasty bitches and it's time you took off the gloves.
  • devlzadvocate · 1 year ago
I was going to try to stay away from the SP words for 24 hours, but wait, look what CNN is SELLING online:

    http://www.cnn.com/tshirt/?hash=9f8898e6b3bd48d...

Actually, they are selling nothing but McCain stuff. Isn't that contrary to FCC regs or something?
  • jmcon007 · 1 year ago
“It is only logical that if she is traveling for the government, that her expenses be paid for.” Even the distraction of ending their sentences in prepositions can't hide how illogical 'everything-Palin' is appearing to be.
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
television media is all over McCain's lies...that's good.
Barack continues to link McCain to Bush...that's good.

the important, serious issues are being addressed.
the sleazy, distracting, Rovian bullshit is being addressed.

    keep it up.
  • Sage24 · 1 year ago
Let's not forget that McCain only laughed when a woman asked him what he was going to do about the "bitch", and then Palin only laughed when some two bit radio jockey called a Democratic official a "Bitch"

Come on media, bring out these facts.
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Earlier this morning I said I didn't want to hear about houses. I want to amend that--I want to hear about houses in relation to the Keating 5 scandal. Many, many voters are too young to remember John McCain's part in this scandal. A smart group of 527's should be able to run a scathing ad about how McCain's latest statement on Fannie Mae and Fredie Mac is just more of the the same, he didn't care about the American people then so how is he different now, he didn't do anything to in this latest housing crisis.

McCain is running a dishonest, despicable campaign. All should be fair game at this point, even the Keating 5 scandal.
  • devlzadvocate · 1 year ago
They are republics. What did you expect?
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
this is McCain's latest web ad...the link is to the official McCain campaign website.
It says: Obama is calling Palin a pig.

If you think your GOPer friends and family might see this, talk to them about it.

Sarah Palin is a distraction, and nothing more. She is Malibu Stacey, but she's wearing a hat!!!!
  • Rufus · 1 year ago
Hmmmm, drawing per diem while at home. McCain, as a retired military officer, knows if he did it while serving he would be in Leavenworth. Simple and obvious fraud. God, I wish I was a Republican so I could get away with crime.
  • MInnesotaRaindog · 1 year ago
Sarah Palin bills the state of Alaska per diem for staying in her own home. Yet when Minnesota Sen. Dave Durenberger did the same thing in the 1980s--billing Congress for staying in a condo he owned in Minneapolis--he got hit with an ethics violation, was denounced by the Senate and served one year of probation for misuse of public funds:

    http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,917...

    http://bioguide.congress.gov/scripts/biodisplay...

I guess they have different ethics in the Republic of Alaska.
  • baja · 1 year ago
Alaskan's don't pay a state tax. Most likely Sarah is drawing money out of state revenues from oil. I think it's unethical to draw this per diem to stay at home, but a lot of other Alaskan's aren't all that ethical and probably would do the same thing if given the opportunity. Won't have much effect up here.
  • rexkc · 1 year ago
Hey, she wasn't stealing anywhere near as much as the previous Republicans, so she's a reformer.
  • MNUSA · 1 year ago
I thought Palin put all the expenses online so everyone could see them. Certainly she didn't lie again, did she?
