Luna Stick I think you are right about this, and that was the description he used, couldn't remember it, and actually on that sermon, much of what he said was kind of true, if you listen to the whole thing. America has not always done what was right. I always say that, this is an example of why church and state has to be seperate, because according to Jesus teacchings, he would never kill his enemies in any way, or in a war, so for a nation to be able to war and such, it really can't pattern it's policies on the gospel. Jesus himself would think that it was an abomination to have killed all the innocent people in all the wars, and the pastor was expressing that, as I am sure Jesus would agree with that, but again, that is a good reason for keeping church and state seperate!

sbhdawn Well it seems to me most of the churches today don't go by the actual teachings of their faith so it is even more important to keep them out of politics because they distort their so called faith to fit their needs of the moment. As for America's mistakes, we have made many and most American's aren't aware of them and don't want to hear it. Try to explain it to most people and you get turned on. The truth hurts and Americans are averse to pain.

Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC said that she in fact was there at the Bosnia landing, and I couldn't believe that she didn't offer any more information, as she was questioning a guest about this apparently false assertion! All she said is that she was there and there were no bullets! The guest asked her about the part that Clinton said they all had to sit on bullet proof vests upon landing, and she ingnored the guest!! She would have know if this was false too, she should be questioned more about this!

We have got to stop letting these news networks run this campaign!! It seems like we are looking to them and their talking heads as to which direction this campaign is or should be going, and that is WRONG!! We the public, need to take this election process back and put the people in charge again, instead of these fat-paycheck talking heads; which have no concern for the people of the country or the truth. As a former Hillary supporter, I can honestly say I'm done with her. I should have learned my lesson a long time ago. When the evidence came out that Bill and Hill were directly tied in with all the Whitewater fraud, I made up excuses like "everyone cheats a little". When they corrupt Clintons were implicated in the murder of Vince Foster, I tried not to think about it. When Slick Willie was caught engaging in oral sex with an intern inside the White House, I tried to rationalize that "we all have a right to our own lifestyle choice". When Billary was caught using photo-shop to make Obama appear more "negroid" in direct mail push polls in the South, I tried to pretend that everyone uses dirty tricks in politics. Ah, Dyngus Day finally gets national recognition! South Bend is my hometown. I was engaged to a Polish-American girl and we used to hit all of the "hot spots" on Dyngus Day....the PNA (Polish National Alliance) Hall, the Falcons Lodge (Polish version of Moose, Eagles, Elks or Lions), and the Polish-American War Veterans (there was never a war between Poland and America but it is an ethnic version of the American Legion/VFW). The kielbasa, and beer was plentiful. Everyone else in the world has Carnival/Mardi Gras to have a blow-out BEFORE Lent. The Poles celebrate the end of Lent.
A Democratic cousin emailed me today telling me she might go see Bill and Chelsea in South Bend. She is also the cousin who sent me the "Barack is a Muslim terrorist" email that went around the world many times. So I guess she is not an Obama fan. I didn't answer her email as I seem often at odds with family over politics anyway. But I would like to tell her that the Republicans in the family in Texas voted for Obama in the primary and will vote for him in November!

A Democratic cousin emailed me today telling me she might go see Bill and Chelsea in South Bend.
