As a white-haired (premature, I promise) woman for Obama, I applaud... loudly!
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
Beautiful ladies and a great ad.
Michelle Obama on Colbert was a wonderful segment...Finally, a non-patronizing TV host who connects Jackie O with Michelle O!

    more gray hairs.....

A series of conflicts with insurgent groups along Iran's borders may be impelling Tehran to back its own allies in Iraq in what it regards as a proxy war with the U.S., according to security experts and officials in the U.S., Iran and Iraq.

    Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Endorses Obama

    Hey, excellent!

Not terribly surprising, when I think about it. Their politics doesn't line up with Hill's.
  • Andrew A. Gill · 1 year ago
I wanna know what the one woman said between `He's' and `intelligent.'

You can tell there was a cut.
  • Nigel Elliott · 1 year ago
    Andrew,

first off, it's not ad made by the Obama campaign. It's just a group of ladies making a YouTube video. I chalk it up to imprecise editing.
  • Andrew A. Gill · 1 year ago
I chalk it up to imprecise editing

    Oh. definitely.

Part of me wants it to be that she said, ``He's farkin' intelligent!'' and they cut it.

But it's probably just an um or an er.

I'll bet this woman wouldn't vote for Obama...

    http://news.aol.com/entertainment/movies/movie-...

I've always suspected animal rights nuts who take it to the extreme were reactionaries at heart. And she's not aging well, either.
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Nigel, your LATimes reference WAS chilling. US military covert operations aiding spin off groups in Iraq are never publicized, of course. And the spin will be that you can't trust Iran...all of this a buildup to an excuse to bomb, bomb, bomb Iran. It never occurs to US officials and the military that perhaps none of this would be transpiring if the US had not invaded Iraq...an interloper that the majority of Iraqis want the hell out of their country.

A lot of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" going on over there.

    LATEST POLL NUMBER

    Question:

"Who has the better chance of getting elected president in November"

    Answer:

    Obama: 62%
    Clinton: 31%

    Washington Post ABC News Poll

Actually, Obama continues to poll better than Clinton in the general election match up against McCain.
You, Hillary fans, can shout "can't win" all you like, but it doesn't make it true. Clearly millions of people disagree with you.
Unfortunately for you - THE GAME IS OVER MY FRIENDS!!

They just may be figuring out that 'old' ladies are for Obama. I could have told them that months ago! Hillary may be female, but not the 'right' female for the job. What Hillary has done for me is to make me regret I voted twice for her husband! I've always felt, but for Bill Clinton, there's a Hillary. He's the star and she's the tag along.

Now those are some sweet Southern ladies, like the ones I grew up with in Georgia. Good to be reminded that not all Southerners have been lured into the insanity of fundamentalist bigotry.

As a future white-haired woman of a certain age, I say, Right on, ladies!

I have been waiting for a blog where white haired educated women could speak up for Barack. What an inspirational candidate he is! He will help our country gain respect again in this world community in which we live. He gives us hope that we can recreate a better America and a better world. I can't wait to see the nation get going under a real leader. Yes, we can!! 68 and ready for change.

I was seduced by Obama's speech before the Democratic convention. I e-asked him to run. I gave him money. I went to an Obama party and gave more money. I took a bus to an Obama rally. Then I came to my senses and now support Hillary Clinton. Do you support Obama for some of the same motives I did? 1) I realized I didn't need to do penance for my parents who blatantly discriminated against blacks. 2) Like the young, I was vulnerable to the rhetoric of a charismatic guru-type. These are poor reasons for choosing a president. / I am a 70 y.o., ex-Mormon grad of BYU. // Jean Clelland-Morin
