NeoCon traitors and GOP morons are steering the bus. And the troops want off the straight to oblivion express.

    Busboy,

"Generally, people seem more upset about Tibet and the Olympics than they do about the war or the price of gasoline."

When John asks, " Who's steering the Iraq bus?" he's not talking about a literal bus and gas prices.

Funny, but check out the faces of the Republicans on the panel. They aren't interested in saving America. They are glibly and smugly trying to score political points. They don't give a shit about the disaster they've caused as long as it helps them personally.

He's been double-dipping like this for years. He is The Decider, but aw shucks, he listens to all his generals on that tricky war stuff. This way if it turns out to be a good idea, that was Bush's, but if something bad happens, that was because of one of those incompetent generals. Who is then strongly encouraged to "retire".
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
That bus has already wrecked, so no one needs to drive it. We just need to get the hell out of a country the US should never have invaded.

And Busboy, most of us can care about more than one thing at a time, you know...sorry you can't. Have you helped a neighbor or friend in dire straits lately? If not, please be quiet.

That whole Olympic torch thing is a joke. Seriously, folks, China owns us. I don't think we have much say-so regarding China and their policies. Where was all the protesting surrounding all the lead China keeps feeding our children? Its time for us to learn what battles to fight. As long as we keep fighting the war in Iraq, we are just strengthening China's hand by going into further debt. If people REALLY want to protest China's policy then they should be trying to end the Iraq War and rebuild our financial portfolio so we aren't in major debt to China. The Olympic torch protests are laughable.

Maybe Manwhore McCain should come out against his own wife's salary first.

Constitution Lapel Pin vs. Flag Lapel Pin

My idea to counter the Republicans always crowing about that stupid flag lapel pin, and whether or not Democrats "worship the flag" properly.

Yes, Democrats ought to start wearing Constitution lapel pins and shove the whole issue up the MSM and GOP's collective ass.

Remember all that crap about Theresa Heinz Kerry and the Tides foundation? Where is the outrage over Mr. McGoo's wife's Beer Money that obviously finances his eighteen homes?

Because the media consider McCain and Bush to be regular fellas, the kind you'd drink a beer with or bowl with. Why, because the GOP tells them so. This saves a lot of time for the MSM, which they'd have to otherwise spend thinking.

    WHO'S steering the bus.
It's the same folks who have been steering it since the day JFK was put
    down. If not before.
Ike Had it right. Military Industrial Complex. ( of which big oil is just one of the players)
With the help of Dick Cheney Mr Bush was the best thing to
ever happen to the whole cabal.
Things must change drastically or they will perceive themselves
the victors and as we know from our past the victors write the history.

You know as Bush creates layers of deniability, not only is the situation in Iraq deteriorating...again, but al Qaeda attacks in Yemen is forcing us to withdraw embassy personnel there, the Taliban is gaining in Afghanistan...and, well...Iraq is just the gift that keeps on giving to al Qaeda.

Wouldn't this have been a perfect opportunity for the war czar -- Douglas Lute -- to step in? What the hell is he doing anyway?

    1. George Bush is a liar. If he says it's sunny outside, grab your brolly and overshoes.
    2. Of course Petraeus isn't steering the bus. This bus has been steered (by remote control) by Dick Cheney the whole diddly time.
    3. Everything about the "Bush Presidency" since Day 1 has been directed by Cheney, Rove and their loyal lieutenants, and the only one who doesn't realize it is W.

Come on, surely I'm not the only one who sees it that way.
  • scottinsf · 1 year ago
Your friend's writing spells it out perfectly.

Of course I knew this war was a lie and going to be a disaster months before it started. That's why I marched and protested then and that's why I'll continue to.

LOL! He must've been thinking about the bus they keep hiding the Olympic torch in.

No Busboy, we're back to talking about this lie of a war and the latest excuses the repug neocons are giving congress.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Thanks, Older and Wiser; by your criteria I'm allowed to keep talking.

Democratic senators and congressmen vote to put more fuel in the bus to oblivion every time it comes up for a vote.

Speaking of steering the bus, McCain came out against excessive corporate CEO salaries. Obama better get with it or McCain will occupy all the high ground on all of the issues:
