AMERICAblog: Why didn't McCain do the cover too?

  • sukabi1 · 1 year ago
Oh sure, but McCain and Palin have the covers of "Abnormal Psychology Today" and "Sociopath's Quarterly"....
  • cmpnwtr · 1 year ago
Cool! Now is this guy vital and dynamic, or what!
  • sukabi1 · 1 year ago
Yeah, and you gotta LOVE the titles he's surrounded with...

    Strong & Fit
    What Great Leaders Know
    Success Without Stress
    Heros of Health & Fitness
    More Energy Instantly

but even with all that positive marketing this one is the Guaranteed Seller of Obama:

1,785 Best Ever Health, Fitness, Sex, Style & Nutrition Tips

Can you even imagine McCain on a cover with THAT??? LOL
  • gwpriester · 1 year ago
    Good symbolism.

What amazed me though is the Inquirer had that article on Sara Palin's affair on the front cover and at the check out stand for weeks and except for this blog I did not hear one word about it.

I know, but maybe it's just too much for most folks. Just like the new "scarface"......it's just over the top. Maybe it's too ugly for polite conversation?

I dunno, but I wonder. I wonder how Rove did his nasty, right in plain sight, also.

Thing is, there is plenty of fruit to pick now.

That's gotta be a joke. "Innauguration Day" (note spelling).

If it's real, it's truly despicable.
  • bosdav · 1 year ago
It's a total joke. Read all the text at the end.

Great! I will get one to preserve. It's going to be a collector's item worth a lot for my great-grandson.

He's just the picture of virility, isn't he?
  • johnosahon · 1 year ago
his smile is worth an EXTRA vote.

this is the FIRST time i get the "likeability" crap.

after the election is over... mcsame will be in the running for the AARP magazine cover.

.... I doubt he'll get it though, he's screwed so many retired people.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Yeah, my dad sends me clips from his AARP magazine all the time.

They try to be objective, but every time they ask candidates to fill out essays or questionaires on social security, medicare, health care, etc., Obama always comes out on top.

Honestly, Mccain's people even leave some of the questions blank 'cos they know what they got to say ain't going to make the seniors happy.

Great cover. No doubt about it. Nice product placement, too.

Question: The number (year?) 1785.....does that mean anything?
  • Mike_G · 1 year ago
Don't worry - McCain will be on the cover of next week's *men's illness* magazine.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
He is the centerfold for "Survivor!" after the "McMelanoma" spread. I know... I know.... I'm bad!

WHoever on Obamas team agreed to this needs a promotion...and a raise.

Lot's of positive subliminal imagery and messages.
  • LawMichigander · 1 year ago
Anyone notice the magazine with Paul Newman's photo on it next to Obama's? They have similar facial features.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
I think Obama looks a lot like his grandfather when his grandfather was young:

Okay, he's handsome, athletic, and fit. I used to be all that. 40 years ago. No sour grapes here!
