Larry Craig and Mark Foley: well, we'll go out on a limb to report some sensational gay stuff as long as it looks like they're just isolated cases, but don't expect us to really investigate or report on the systemic nexus between homosex and political power, especially in the GOP.

The real story is - WTF is a gay man doing donating to the Republicans. Once again, this confirms my premise. Republicans never vote for their interest. Like my grandparents, who think they will die from a terrorist, meanwhile they have to spend $2000 a month for their drugs.

The corporate media's job is to report as much dirt on Libruls as they CAN and only as much dirt on the Corporate Elite as they must. And to persuade people that there is no such thing as The Common Good and no chance of making any real change to our system. Seems to me they are doing their jobs well.

Corporate welfare.
2 words. We have a 2 tiered system of welfare in this country for the last 8 years. The regular welfare which the Republicans despise because the perceive these people as lazy and getting something for nothing. And then the Corporate Welfare. Those that get hugh benefits by sucking up to the neocons, Republicans and this administration. They receive largess by supporting the policies of the Republicans.
They can't let go yet while the repubs hold the purse strings and dick cheney is in office. God knows what they have sold to the devil, but their time is coming. RIP

I never really got it either, but I think it is essentially a self-serving position for wealthy gays. If you have enough money you can insulate yourself from the social issues that are important to the Democrats/Progressives (health care, social security, even to an extent the marriage issue). I suspect the most important factor for them then becomes paying lower taxes to keep what they got.

Yes, wealthy gays, especially if they grew up with wealth , have allows tended to be complacent about gay rights. They're insulated by their money. It is very selfish. As Cheney's daughter, Mary, once said - I've never been a ramparts kind of girl. The gay rights movement has always been driven by middle-class gay people.

I tried that, and my profile was not approved. MANHUNT and i exchanged a few emails, but they refused to accept the profile because it was too "politically charged."

Funny how that excuse doesn't show up in MANHUNT's rules and regulations.
