Look, in 1977 when Chimpy McFlightsuit first ran for office, he warned all us simple folks who want to have a beer with an alcoholic that Social Security would be gone in ten years.
Just gone. Unless it was fixed. Privatized.
Since it was not privatized., Social Security has been abolished for over 20 years
John McSame doesn't have to talk about privatizing Social Security because it has been gone since 1987.

Over at Huffington , John Paulson, hedge fund, made 3.7 Billion and the top 5 made over 1.2 B each. Not the Companies, the individuals. Thats a Billion $ in hedge funds.

THIS is an excellent point that ought to really be drug out in the open, and put to BUSH as well. It was his wonderful idea, would be fantastic to see projections of what kinds of jams people would be in had Bush and McCain had their way. In fact, I certainly hope Obamas folk are working on a power point of it, because as you mention, this was THE thing, their brilliant idea.
Whereas I think it would be much more efficient to cut out the middle man (us) and just have Bush turn all our money over to money-grubbers
I mean, McCain apparently thinks is also is a great idea to FREEZE all budget items, til he can get out his red pencil (though his branch isn't really tasked with this task are they?) and go over all the pork, piece by piece...except, guess what....yup, NOT any defense/Iraq money.
Really, enough with just calling something "defense" and having it suddenly be holier than all, cannot look closely at it. We know that it is a bottomless pit of money, we know the money is being appropriated without oversight (STILL!!!! For fuck sake) we know it is getting funneled to loyal Bushies, who have no qualifications more than that, and god knows where from there, enough...it's OUR MONEY, and the GAO ought to get some teeth and get on it.

This requires a three prong attack by the Democrats:
1. Note each economic position taken by McCain and note how it would have turned out - SSN, rush to buy homes, and others (3-4eg) Tag with McCain saying he does not know much about economic issues.
2. Have a chart with related campaign advisers who lobbied for these individuals.
3. Finish with - Is a man this incompetent and driven by specials interests the same man who we want to have answering the phone a 3 a.m.?
