How about he called his wife a Cussy?
  • jiminportlandoregon · 1 year ago
Because he is all the Repukes have at this time and they are not going to bad mouth him - he is their only hope. Can you imagine if Obama had said that about his wife? Christ, we'd never hear the end of it - the coverage would even top the never ending coverage of Tim Russert's death this weekend.

From now until November, all of my curse words will be prefaced with a Mc.

I think it is not reported because the scene can be contested by many people, including John McCain and his wife, who will of course vehemently deny it. It has nothing to do if it happened or not, but how it can be contested. Now, if the scene was tape recorded or videotaped, it would had been repeated continuously until everyone is sick of it...

Much like if Bush quote, "major league asshole" from the 2000 campaign was not recorded, the Bush campaign would had angrily deny it...

The worst part is... every single repugnican on the hill probably could either verify this quote, or have heard something similar out of his mouth. They can't stand the guy.

personally? I wouldn't vote for anyone who vows to 'veto every beer'... I'd think the young republicans would think twice about that as well. Or maybe they drink Scotch in college now?

    that video is too funny.

seriously, unless there is direct, irrefutable evidence that he did indeed call his wife a c##t, then i can't in good conscience use this "info" to attack McCain.
    i'll use this one instead: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hnb2IrsU1Cg .

now THAT is a kick-ass video!!!

That's an already made campaign commercial for Obama... Where's Moveon.org? they should pay to run this in every state in the country.
  • ChicagoKid · 1 year ago
p.s. They should have used the footage of some dude asking him about the rumor he said this. The blue-haired ladies in the audience gasped. But McCUN'T couldn't and didn't deny using the C-word.

I wish someone in one of these town halls would ask McCain, since that first commercial he did says that 'only a fool or a fraud' sees anything romantic about war, whether he considered Bush to be a fool or a fraud.

    From Reuters:

"I must say, I'm a little envious," Bush said. "If I were slightly younger and not employed here, I think it would be a fantastic experience to be on the front lines of helping this young democracy succeed."

"It must be exciting for you ... in some ways romantic, in some ways, you know, confronting danger. You're really making history, and thanks," Bush said.

The media is ignoring this so-called "story" because one, unless you have a tape of McCain saying it, there's no proof he did, and two, it's not an issue in the campaign.

Please stick to McCain's war policies, his intent to appoint far-right-wing justices to the Supreme Court, his pro-rich tax policies, the effort he made to help give the Air Force aerial tanker contract to Europe at the cost of jobs in America, etc.

Last week The Daily Show did a brief bit on John McCain calling his wife a Rhymes With Bunt (So It Can Pass the Disqus Filter), but this is even funnier!
  • bajajazz · 1 year ago
I don't think McCain's insult to his wife was recorded but it was witnessed by three reporters from the Arizona Republic. While the language is indeed offensive, what's more worrisome is what his outburst says about McCain's temperament when under stress. Clearly, this man is not fit to be anywhere near the machinery of nuclear warfare. The fact that Mrs. McCain did not immediately leave the son of a bitch causes me to wonder what kind of codependent relationship she has with him. McCain's vile temper may explain her dependency on prescription drugs.

That town hall guy who raised the question last month, inartfully and without proper attribution to Cliff Schecter, who had 3 witnesses to the event, did provoke shocked and appalled boos from the audience. But McCain couldn't, and didn't, respond with a flat-out denial. He said, "we don't use language like that here," or words to that effect. The fact remains: McCain DID say it.

Why isn't the Media reporting that John McBush is gay? Just because he's still in the closet? That's never stopped them before!

John, now is the time to come to terms with your own sexuality: It may be your only chance to win over those moderates you so desperately need to squeak into the White House. The Fundies aren't going to vote for you anyway.

You just look so out of place in this ground-breaking election: We've already had really old and senile Presidents, rageaholics, substance-abusing Republican first ladies, etc, etc, etc. But we've never had a gay President who was out of the closet.

Think of it: You could win the Trifecta in this historic election. A black man, a woman and you, a gay! TRUMP!

Let's just run that video of you pining for your long lost man-crush. This alone could win you San Francisco, Miami, New York and Provincetown:

"MCCAIN TURNED ON TO GAY AUTHOR BY TEEN CRUSH"

Beyond the c-word, John McCain might be the only person under the age of 100 who still uses the word "trollop".
  • AngelaChanning · 1 year ago
Um...I am 44 and have used the term "trollop"...but then again I am a middle aged gay guy from Baltimore. LOL.

I'd be a little more upset about the c*nt comment if it didn't happen to be the only fact John McCain's ever got right.

I dunno. Seems fair because she's married to a dick.
