OT..sorry to go off,this can save lives

Just to alert everyone who called, sent emails, and mailed letters to us about horse racing and the recent death of Eight Belles - the Humane Society of the United States has now posted our petition to protect race horses, calling on Congress to establish a National Racing Commission to consider our suggested changes to the racing industry.

I'm not a doctor but when I see McCain on t.v. he looks unhealthy. He's bloated, pasty white, has trouble breathing when he talks for long periods of time. I also think its apparent that he's never rehabilitated from his injuries from torture. Given the rich, unhealthy foods and lifestyle the guy has engaged in for the last 30 years he clearly would be one of the most unhealthy nominees for president in recent memory.

He is also exhibiting signs of progressive mental deterioration. People will see the stark contrast when they can compare him to Obama in a debate. McCain will be finished.

I agree, McCain's age will show in these debates and any fence sitters will be scared at the prospect of this

Today, Gen. David Petraeus will testify before the Senate Armed Services Committee for his confirmation as CentCom commander. But Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), who has missed 60 percent of votes this session, has other priorities. The AP reports that McCain “is expected to miss the hearing because he is in California,” where he will hold high-dollar fundraisers:

Oh yes, according to the linked article, the chosen few will only have 3 hours to go through 400 pages of documents. No photocopies allowed. It's not even clear (to me, at least) that these are the complete medical records.

spiralling violently to Earth. I reacted automatically the moment I took the hit, reached up and pulled the ejection seat handle.

I struck part of the aircraft, breaking my left arm, my right arm in three places and my right knee, and was briefly knocked unconscious.

Witnesses said my chute had barely opened before I plunged into the shallow water of Truc Bach Lake.

Wearing about 25kg of gear, I touched the bottom of the lake and kicked off with my good leg. I did not feel any pain as I broke the surface and I did not understand why I couldn't move my arms to pull the toggle on my life vest.

I sank to the bottom again.

When I broke the surface the second time, I managed to inflate my life vest by pulling the toggle with my teeth. Then I blacked out again.

I was awakened a short while later when the camp officer, a mean son of a bitch called Bug, rushed excitedly into my cell.

"Your father is a big admiral," he shouted. "Now we take you to the hospital."

God bless my father.

It was hard not to see how pleased they were to have captured an admiral's son and I knew my father's identity was directly related to my survival.

I was moved to a hospital in central Hanoi. Coming to a couple of days later, I found myself lying in a filthy room, lousy with mosquitoes and rats.

Every time it rained, mud and water would pool on the floor. No one had even bothered to wash the grime off me.

I began to recover my wits and my interrogators came to the hospital to resume their work. The beatings were of short duration because I let out a hair-raising scream when they occurred and my interrogators appeared concerned that hospital personnel might object.

This man should know who useless war is, yet he continues to trumpet the victory of Iraq. We don't need a supporter of war as our leader. We need someone who will defend us but not be the aggressor, someone who actually relates to Americans not the rich elite in Washington.

I was reading this story with interest and was perusing the comments when I was distracted by a Mc Cain movie on the comments page! I really find this very vulgar and distracting! What is happening to these sites? Huffington Post is almost unbearable to read because of the visual pollution and this site is fast becoming the same. I am going back to print and will get my info from newspapers.

I'm also including the physical and mental torture he went through. Anyone remember Perot;s running mate Stockdale. A great American hero who looked confused and clearly unqualified for vice-president. These guys are done, both physically and mentally and Obama is in his prime. Enough said.

Ted Kennedy was born in 1932 and McCain in 1936. It is past time to look at his medical records. In addition he was brainwashed for 5 years and became as crazy as hell.
