AMERICAblog: Why wasn't McCain wearing a flag pin on Thursday night?

  • Busboy · 1 year ago
He wanted to get the generation "y" vote?
  • dad · 1 year ago
easy John. He could barely walk out on stage.
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
    One too many Manhattans?
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
Say what they will, but the Democratic Convention was a sea of waving flags in the cool Colorado evening while the Republicans were a sea of balloons - full of hot air.

Republicans hate us for our freedoms!
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Sorry, O/T; looks like Fannie Mae is getting ready to take it like a whore on crack....

what a harsh, hostile way to put it.
    grouchy?
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Probably a poor analogy, tls. How's your weekend going?
  • Andyz · 1 year ago
    Because he hates America.
  • Rufus · 1 year ago
Simple. Because McCain knows only wussies wear flag pins. If you have to wear a flag pin to show you're patriotic, you're not patriotic.
  • Jim Olson · 1 year ago
Come on, John. He's a POW. You can't ask that question.
  • dad · 1 year ago
he was standing in front of walter reed middle school, what more do you want?
  • bumpkis · 1 year ago
He forgot which house he left it in?
  • mellowjohn · 1 year ago
um... because all the flag pins had been thrown in the garbage by those nasty, unpatriotic democrats?
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
he can't lift his arms up high enough to pin one on?
  • hardeknox · 1 year ago
Nasty. His arms were broken either when he bailed out over Vietnam, or by his captors. I've heard both. Basically, the only person to regularly wear the pin is Obama, a typical Democratic wuss bullied into doing it. Sometimes I really hate to admit I'm a lifelong Democrat.

""Sa-rah! Pa-lin!" came the chant at a Colorado Springs rally on Saturday moments before Republican nominee John McCain took the stage with Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, a woman who was virtually unknown to the nation just a week earlier. The day before, thousands screamed "Sa-rah! Sa-rah! Sa-rah!" at an amphitheater outside Detroit."

Great pick there, McCain. They hate you. They really, really hate you.
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
the dittohead Limbots would LOVE for Sarah the Wolfkiller to be top of the ticket. they can't stand McModerate. don't you know that pisses him off?
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
I think it's funny as hell.
  • HereinDC · 1 year ago
WTF is up with how Cindy McCain dresses?

    That is Fugly!
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
She needed something outlandish to take attention away from her bald spots. Man, her hair is getting thin.
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
maybe she's feeling a little...left out, now that there's a new hot chick on stage with McGigolo...

she's gonna mix orange and green if she wants, by god!
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
Sad thing is, there are Republican's who wouldn't have voted for McCain but will now solely based on her. I doubt the Independents will switch over because of her extremist views, but he has reenergized the base, and that scares me...
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
take heart, my friend, there's trouble in fundie paradise:

  • houstonray · 1 year ago
Great article, thanks!! There IS hope!
  • Butch1 · 1 year ago
Who dresses Cindy McCain? Another atrocious colour combination from the picture of that article.
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
she must have had a STRAIGHT stylist again. she looks like crap. her hair looks like crap.

Caribou Barbie has a cousin....Vicodin Cindy
  • Butch1 · 1 year ago
Whom ever dresses Cindy needs to be slapped. She looks like a elf who was rejected at the door of Santa's Christmas bash or one of those country ho-down clog dancers.
  • doug · 1 year ago
McCain was being the maverick that he is.
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
b-b-but, that's not a maverick we can believe in!
  • Butch1 · 1 year ago
Only Democrats have to prove their allegiance to this country, the republican are not held to the same set of rules.
  • MotorCityBadBoy · 1 year ago
It's a line fed to the media by Rove and co. and they repeat it. If we're not as American as the Republicans then we should pay less taxes, Dammit!!!
  • Butch1 · 1 year ago
I've often said that if we are considered second-class citizens, why are we paying first-class taxes?!
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
I have a flag pin I wear on election day. The Republicans do not have a monopoly on patriotism, only nationalism.
  • MotorCityBadBoy · 1 year ago
How DARE YOU ask that question... For 5 1/2 years John McCain didn't have a lapel to stick a flag pin on. Or even a suit jacket... or a shirt or tie... or a table. or chair... or even a house, or 6 houses... or, a car, or a boat, or a kangaroo, or green eggs and ham, or a garlic press, or a moped... or anything else. You can't ask former POW's ANY questions about anything! You commies!
I wish I could think of more things that poor John didn't have for 5 1/2 years in a POW camp... Hmmm.....
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
i'd say you covered it! LOL! oh wait, bet he didn't have dental floss...
  • catdance · 1 year ago
He was McCain in a box!
  • MotorCityBadBoy · 1 year ago
Dammit Catdance! I woke my girlfriend laughing at that post... I got one... McCain in a box, with no sox, said the Ox to the Fox... Now we're both cracking up over here! Dammit Catdance!
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
Motor, you should think about going to work for Rove....it sounds like something he would come up with. lol
  • lauren1959 · 1 year ago
I heard the Republicans threw away like 75,000 flag pins, but the Democrats saved them and have been distributing them....
  • catdance · 1 year ago
If your hair had been bleached to hell and back like Cindy's, it would be falling out too. Which still doesn't explain why, with all her money, she has to dress like a freakshow.

John McCain wasn't wearing a flag pin... for the same reason we never see his adopted daughter.
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
oh you have noticed Brigett's absence from the campaign trail too? I see they hauled her out for the convention.
  • Coming Undone · 1 year ago
McCain is a POW, a Maverick and he is now a Wasilla Warrior and I for one feel honored as hell that he chose a person that wears glasses as his VP and Sarah is so tough and amazing that she had 4 or 5 children, imagine a woman that works and has children (wow) and when she was in labor with her special needs child at 44 years old she said speeches and Alaska first! pregnancy second, and after having her baby she was back to work within 3 days, some women like to be lazy and rest and then bond with their newborn for 6 weeks to 3 months but bonding is not the stuff that Barracudas are made of. Sarah is also proud of her unmarried teenage daughter and her high school dropout baby's daddy that doesn't want kids, but just wants to hang out with his boys, fuck yeah! Sarah knows how to settle things when someone (maybe -supposedly )hurts her family and Sarah knows how to give the impression that she capable of being a Mayor or Governor, Sarah can also pretend to sell anything on e-bay and she is a world class liar, she can lie about anything, I mean anything just ask her if you can find her, so I say McCain/Palin 08 for President and Vice President of Wasilla Middle School.
  • hardeknox · 1 year ago
Palin is making almost everybody take their eyes off the ball- Cindy's McKept. Let's get back to basics. There's plenty there to play with.
  • donotmakemecomedownthere · 1 year ago
If McCain ever shopped for a flag pin, it would cost at least $30,000.

"Or maybe some new earrings for the c*nt, for the convention? After all, it's on her dime."
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
Diamonds, rubies and sapphires of course!

And you know she probably says something like "this is SOOOO tacky, but if I must...."
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
300,000 for that butt ugly circus tent she had on last week.
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
speaking of which...what was that ugly ass brouch Cundy had on that back to the 1960's outfit. It looked like USMC spelled out in Diamonds. anyone got a closeup?
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
On one of Cindy Lou's recent network interviews she sported the letters USMC spelled on the cloth over her left breast in what I first thought were rhinestones but now realize must have been 1/2 ct or more individual brilliant diamonds...it just didn't look like a pin and must have been Cindy Lou's platinum-level Bedazzler.

McShame hates his father for forcing him to join the Navy.
McShame hates the Navy for all the rules and regulations that cramped his style and the fact that he could never measure up.
McShame hates America for leaving him in POW hell for 5 years.
McShame hates Vets because the honorable service of most of them expose what a fraud his service time really was..
McShame hates Cindy because her wealth just highlights his inability to produce anything of value himself.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    McCain hates America.

That's why he made a secessionist his Veep.
  • mf_roe · 1 year ago
McShame is going to teach them all a lesson, you don't fuck with John McShame. The ignorance of Bush and the viciousness of Cheney in one small mangled package. POW : Pathetic Old Wannabe
  • kiki · 1 year ago
Why wasn't McCain wearing a flag pin on Thursday night?

WE KNOW, "HE'S UNPATRIOTIC." WE ALSO KNOW, WHAT IS GOOD FOR THE REPUBLICANS, IS NOT GOOD FOR US!" HYPOCRITES!
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
All God damn Cindy Lou packed were the God damn styrofoam roman column lapel pins!!!
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
for people with so much moeny...they sure dress like crap:

    Because he's a secret Muslim.
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
You know, I did see and hear several Rethuglican women make that strange undulating wail typically associated with Arab women as seen and heard in countless Mideast films and videos over the years.
I thought it was odd...But, it must be the secret Rethuglican secret Muslim secret cheer. No wonder Palin was always trying to disrupt and impede local law enforcement what being so close to the old Soviet Union and the ungovernable present day cowboy-terrorist eastern Russian coastline...
  • KISSman · 1 year ago
Some 'patriot' McCain is. Since he doesn't wear the flag pin, I believe that he supports the terrorists now.
  • jack_alexander · 1 year ago
So, John...you watched long enough to notice this? Didn't you suffer brain damage? Perhaps this explains the shortness of your entry. (Just joking.) I can't imagine subjecting oneself to the GOP conventions. It must have been painful.

Meh, flags...symbols of nationalism. I've been living in the world for almost all of my nearly 60 years and I'm a veteran and have been around here or there. It's all the same ball of dirt.
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
someone ask that idiot Inhofe why McBush wasn't wearing a flag pin. I mean, how can anyone who doesn't wear a flag pin say he loves his country?

    http://www.politico.com/blogs/thecrypt/
  • GBPUSD · 1 year ago
I've watched for a flag pin on McCain since the hubbub over the same issue with Obama. McCain NEVER, NEVER, NEVER wears a flag pin. Can't find a pic anywhere where he wears one.

The question is--why doesn't the media call him on it---hahaha.
  • LawMichigander · 1 year ago
How Dare you John, McCain was a POW!!! He doesn't need a flag pin like Rudy does. :)
  • WatchmanD · 1 year ago
Why didn't John McCain love his country as a young man?
