AMERICAblog: With eight days left, an angry John McCain is still trying to deal with the economic crisis

I thought he looked sick and old just now. Sure, he was angry, as well, but I thought "What is wrong with him NOW?"

I watched CNN Saturday for hours of coverage of the campaigns. McCain is obsessed with attacking Obama! It goes on and on, accompanied by that snarky laugh "He he hee". It is awful and no one who did not drink the Kool Aid would ever vote for President based on any of it. I

Palin Forces Local Reporter To Submit Topics For Interview ‘Ahead Of Time’ For Pre-Clearance»
.....after the interview, reporter Cynthia Fodor revealed that she had to submit the interview topics in order to talk to Palin, something she called “not standard procedure”
McCain just looked and sounded both frustrated and angry:
just wait till after the election when the republicans blame him for everything.

I think McCain is just using his campaign now as an excuse to rant about the evil Obama. He has to know he's lost and it's more just dragging it along to Nov. 4th as he can't just stop. so, instead of using it for the good of down ballot candidates that need help, he uses it to indulge his anger and resentment and hatred for obama. What a waste.

I had to turn him off after about 5 minutes...he's getting as shrill as the Aryan Goddess and saying just as little.
And some of us thought Hillary's voice was awful. Never thought I'd be asking for more of her. : )

I thought he sounded more sick than shrill. Looks like the campaign trail hasn't been kind of John McCain but he IS 72 years old. We can't expect him to be able to exert himself like a man half of his age and it not have any negative consequences. McCain seemed like he was getting a cold or something. Raspy voice... He did seem angry.

Question:
Now that it looks REALLY good for Obama can we just muzzle Joe Biden until after the election? I love the man, but I really don't want him using his own talking points to close any deals with undecideds. How about just having Joe READ some F-ing TELEPROMPTERS from now until election day?!!? I just saw Joe and he seemed to be trying to pull a bunch of shit out of the air to get people to vote for Obama. Uh, Joe, people are already convinced. Please don't try to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Obama Campaign - get HIM a TELEPROMPTER! He didn't make any gaffe that I heard but he doesn't need to be rambling on at this point in the campaign. Its too risky.

I know I get nervous sometimes when I watch Joe speak.

He thought he had one of those "teaching moments" of his where he thinks he is going to "school everyone" on historical references. I HATE when he does that. I just sit there and nervously ask myself, "Oh, G-d, Joe PLEASE just get back to the standard stump speech! No historical references that can backfire! Please!!!"

Joe just needs to stick to the script because we are to close for a gaffe that the MSM will play 24/7
cowboyneok
I thought after his last gaffe the Obama campaign would have a little come to Jesus talk with Joe and set up some TELEPROMPTERS and say 'READ THIS until AFTER the election. THEN, you can play 'History Professor' to the American people."
I think what irritates me most about Senator Biden is he thinks its his responsibility to "close the deal" for Barack Obama when Barack has already CLOSED THE DEAL for him. Joe needs to just ride the wave.

That's true, just ride the wave.

Watch this video. This is "representative government?" Virginia Republican congressman Wolf allows his staff to assault someone simply asking him questions. He does NOTHING!
He is channeling Dick Cheney now. It is the attack of the neo-zombies! They are trying to suck the brains out of the rest of us. They have already eaten the brains of their base!

Anyone who was stupid and cynical enough to select Palin as a running mate should expect to lose and richly deserves to lose. Buh bye.

McCain is acting and looking like he's already lost the election. What he says no longer matters. Obama has energized Democrats and left of center Independents to the point that they will go out and vote for him on November 4th in record numbers. McCain/Palin has demoralized Republicans and right of center Independents to the point that they will stay home on November 4th rather than go out and vote for a plurality default candidate whose integrity, judgement and temperament has repeatedly been called into question. McCain won't get 175 electoral votes and he'll lose the popular vote by double digits. The Democrats will win their filabuster-proof majority of 60 seats and add 25 to 30 more members in the House. Watching Republicans compete for the leadership of their minority party will be like watching hyenas fighting for the scraps of putred flesh that the lions left for the buzzards.

When you're entitled to the presidency, but it keeps eluding you for one reason (Dubya in 2000) or another (Obama 2008) , it is very frustrating.

Anyone here think that for the rest of the campaign, McCain will only be seen with Ronmey or Lieberman and never be seen with Palin? What a fraud.

Let's not forget we'll have Obama and Clinton (Bill) onstage together, I think it's Wednesday, ought to be awesome coverage, probably thousands of people and should totally take away from anything McSame and Palin do for at least a day or so...

"No seriously, I totally figured things out this time. Hey, wait. Where you goin'? I'm on top of things now. Capital gains cuts. Elimination of the death tax. Reagan on Mt. Rushmore. This will save us all."
It is my humble opinion that the Republicans are trying to create a national security crisis this week in Syria or Pakistan, in order to lift McCain over the threshhold. The week is yet young. The only way to stop it is to challenge Bush openly and immediately on the suspicion, as we did around an earlier attempt to provoke Iraq into war.

McCain is FURIOUS. He kept hitting that podium like it was someone's face (and we know who). Did you notice that nearly all of his points were outcomes, not concrete plans for how to get there? And when it comes to the transparency he means to demand, does he expect people to do the work for free? Or will he (whisper it) have to bring some people on and PAY them?
I would like to know where these jobs he's going to give away will come from, since they are drying up like puddles in Amarillo in July all around the country. He says that people will buy stock and then he will make it gainful to them by giving them a tax break without, apparently, stopping to think that people need actual cash to buy something with; that if the stock still sinks after they have bought it, his precious tax break won't do them any good; and that anyone will want to go anywhere near the stock market for a couple of years. In short, he talks like a man who has never gone without money. He thinks the people who just took a bath on the market are going to say, "Good old John! He'll see us right!" and produce those bundles of hundreds they had tucked into their mattresses. He's forgotten about everyone who has NOTHING. A retiree's ten percent of nothing is STILL nothing, and you are terminally out of touch, Senator McCain. I hope Obama beats you like a gong.

John McCain explain why your running mate supports a radical group such as the Alaskan Independant Party who's motto is “ I’m an Alaskan, not an American I’ve got no use for America or her damned institutions”. She and her husband Todd are members and she gave the opening speech at their convention while she was governor.
