‘My marriage ended because John McCain didn’t want to be 40, he wanted to be 25. You know that happens...it just does.’
Some of McCain’s acquaintances are less forgiving, however. They portray the politician as a self-centred womaniser who effectively abandoned his crippled wife to ‘play the field’. They accuse him of finally settling on Cindy, a former rodeo beauty queen, for financial reasons.
mark your calendars... jack abramoff is going to be sentenced for his Washington influence peddling in September. The last paragraph of this article puts a smile on my face :-)
that's gonna be pretty close to election time... okay MSM, will you cover the sentencing in September? maybe bring up all the repugnican corruption cases tied to abramoff?? perfect timing!!

It's a FABULOUS performance--totally convincing; I really believed she was being stalked by some creepy, old guy. I expected that nice man Chris Hansen to pop up before anything really serious happened! Why wasn't McCain nominated for an Emmy for his extraordinarily true-to-life portrayal of perversion?!

Oh hell, they always forgive the Rethugs anyway.
Meanwhile, 2 hedge fund managers at Bear Stearns indicted today...announcement tomorrow, per CNBC. Hopefully, we'll see many such indictments.
And when, oh when, will NBC and MSNBC stop lionizing and idolizing Tim Russert? Enough already...

Chris Matthews is beyond annoying. Watched the video, and wouldn't you know while the other guests were HORRIFIED by McCain's creepiness and said he better not let the video get out (TOO LATE!), Republican sycophant Matthews kisses McCain's ass by trying to intimate it was some kind of Oscar worthy performance and he has a waiting career in acting.
Oh yeah, I heard MSNBC was thinking of allowing Matthews to take over for Russert. As much as I hated Russert's pro-Catholic agenda on "Meet the Press," I will NEVER watch it again if Matthews takes over. We all get a full dose of him on Hardball. Does MSNBC really think people want to hear Chris Matthews scream, shout and endlessly needle guests with the same questions over and over again? I hope not.

They'll need to give out rain slickers to all the guests if Tweety ("Out of Control Sprinkler System," quoth Keith Olbermann) takes over.

Also, a host on NPR this afternoon called the American Enterprise Insitute a "bipartisan" think tank.
NPR has gone totally right wing...from now on, it's the oldies but moldies.

This isn't any worse than when Nixon appeared on LAUGH-IN saying, "Sock it to me!" Most politicians have made an appearance on a show that might be questionable, including Obama (SNL). I don't think this is worth geting your panties in a bunch, John.
Bet that was a stretch.
