Saw a report on this last night on TV...seems everyone feels a "fix" is in the works, since it's taking so long to get "accurate results."
Sounds so much like the third world politics in the US...

The siren at the nuclear plant less than 10 miles from me is supposed to be tested today at 3:30 pm. Which brought me to this site, memories of Chernobyl, circa 2004.
Quite interesting pictures, with even more interesting comments, and a warning for the world.

I know the reasons for going over to the new comments...but it has stopped up posting an incredible amount. I don't know how important that is to the site, but I think it has a reverse snowball effect. As less post, less check out if ther are new posts.
Also, I asked before but, twice have seen personal details (email address) of people who obviously thought they were commenting and didn't intend that to be posted for all. That is a little off-putting.
I don't think this new comments driver is catching on. Just one persons opinion...or more..

Stop, Thief!
In a move that is all too predictable, Robert Mugabe is determined to steal this recent election in Zimbabwe, which he clearly lost at the polls.
Mugabe’s tactic is to delay the election results as long as possible and then pretend that the results are such that there is no clear majority, which in turn warrants a run-off election, whereupon Mugabe will steal the run-off from the opposition, which has already beaten Mugabe in a landslide.
Zimbabwe could be heading for a presidential run-off within three weeks, according to the state-owned Herald newspaper.
Zimbabwe could be heading for a presidential run-off within three weeks, according to the state-owned Herald newspaper. The first official indication of the result of Saturday's election says that neither President Robert Mugabe nor his main challenger gained 50% of the vote.
Opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai said his party would issue its own results if the commission did not.
The public turned out to vote for the Morgan Tsvangirai in huge numbers, because they are so desperate to see the last of Mugabe – hence, Mugabe’s theft of the election could very well lead to violence of the sort recently experienced in the wake of Kenya’s stolen election.
Old dictators are extremely difficult to defeat in elections, which they view as necessary charades to keep themselves in power. And if the fake-election fails, there is always the gun and the machete.
